About the International Education Center

The International Students Center (ISC) provides a place for international students to meet each other, get information about housing in the area, find out how to get a social security card or driver license, or learn about things to see and do in Phoenix and the surrounding area. In addition, the center is the contact point for the International Students Association (ISA), which is a campus club for all GCC students that promotes international awareness and understanding. The director of the center can also help students who have questions about college life, American culture, or United States immigration regulations.

International Students Program

International Students Center also houses the International Students Program.  The International Students Program serves the needs of nonimmigrant students coming to Glendale Community College from other countries to continue their education. Among other services, the program also coordinates the educational and cultural orientation for International students.

International Student Association

In addition, the Center is the contact point for the International Student Association (ISA), which is a campus club for all GCC students that promotes international awareness and understanding.

The Center Piece

The ISC staff prepares and publishes “The Center Piece” newsletter. It is usually a four-page newsletter with tips and articles of interest to international students at GCC. Announcements, reminders, deadlines, and feature stories appear at GCC twice during the fall and spring semesters. “The Center Piece” is intended to be helpful and interesting to you, so please let the staff know if you have any announcements or ideas for inclusion in the next issue.
