Glendale Community College offers an Intensive English Program (IEP) and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to improve English skills. ESL classes for credit are subject to the regular tuition and fee rate ($40 per credit hour tuition for Arizona residents, fees are generally around $5).
The non-credit ESL classes are available through the GCC Literacy Center, in partnership with Rio Salado College, and are offered in the evening and on Saturday mornings. Students interest in non-credit ESL classes must complete an Intake form available in the Literacy Center.
You will be instructed to bring your completed Intake form with you to class, as this is your proof of registration. Non-credit ESL classes are free. Students who would like to use the computer lab (credit or non-credit) will be required to pay a $10 fee each semester they are enrolled in ESL classes.
LEE is a computer-based educational program designed primarily for English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction. The goal of LEE is to help college-level adults with a moderate level of proficiency in English recognize the structural patterns of the English language and develop their writing skills at the sentence level.
