During the next few years you will undergo a lot of changes as you adapt to living in the United States. At first you will find it very exciting to be here with the opportunity to continue your education. Later on you may begin to notice things about America and the American people that puzzle you or even bother you. There is a lot to get used to when you arrive in a foreign country. New food, new surroundings, new faces and lifestyles are at once fascinating and challenging. No one expects you to become 100% "Americanized." But you should make an effort to try to understand the way American society works. The International Students Center Staff is ready to help you if you have any questions.
To help you adapt to your new environment, we have compiled numerous resources designed to help you answer some of the questions you may have about being an international student at Glendale Community College.
